53  Are You Active or Passive in Your Career?

You’re working hard – surely someone will notice, and eventually, a promotion will come… right?

Well, maybe. But if that’s all you’re doing, you’re being passive in your career – and that might not be enough.

If a promotion (or new opportunity) is what you’re after, it’s time to get active.

⭐️  Active Career Checklist:

✅  You have mentors and people who go to bat for you
✅  Your leadership knows your aspirations
✅  You understand exactly what’s required for the next step
✅  You’re in favour with key decision-makers
✅  You get strong feedback – from both leaders and your team

It’s not about working harder. It’s about working smarter – by raising awareness, understanding the value you bring and making sure other people know it too.

A good boss is tuned into what is working and what isn’t for their team members. They create an atmosphere of trust where their team members can speak up and seek guidance without fear of judgment.

Good bosses don’t want their people burnt out – but they can’t fix what they don’t know.

Ask yourself:

➡️ Are you paying attention to what your people are doing?
➡️ Are you being clear about what’s on your plate?

🎯 Try This Today:

🔹  Ask yourself and your team: “Is anything on your plate taking more time than it should?”
🔹  Check your active career list – what’s missing?
